Thank you for an amazing
2015
What an amazing year we?ve had! Because of you, more Black women are living healthier, more prosperous lives. One example is the success we?ve had with our national diabetes prevention program, Change Your Lifestyle. Change Your Life. We helped more than 500 women lose weight, become active and decrease their risk of type 2 diabetes. Not only have these women improved their physical health, but they are saving money on medication ? improving their financial health ? and are able to be more productive at work, at home and in their communities.
Right now, there are 9.5 million healthy Black women in the United States. Our bold goal is to increase that number to 12.5 million by 2020. And after the remarkable year we had, we are closer than ever to making that happen! We couldn?t have done it without all of you. Thank you for your continued support!

Training the Next Generation
Women at Historically Black Colleges and Universities are growing into powerful advocates and leaders through My Sister?s Keeper. We launched the movement in February to train women how to:
SUCCESS STORY ? Fayetteville State University heard about the work our My Sister?s Keeper chapters at Howard University and Spelman College were doing, and was so impressed, they reached out to us to start a chapter on their campus. We worked with them to launch our third MSK chapter in October 2015. Shortly afterward, they recruited several young women to serve on its executive board, and even crowned their first Ms. MSK, Jazmine Brown, to represent the organization for homecoming activities and other campus functions.

Protecting and Defending Black Women?s Health
Policies and laws can help or harm our health. That?s why we engage members of Congress, health services agencies and likeminded organizations to ensure protect and defend our health.

Making History
We surveyed Black women across the country and asked them to define health. Responses showed Black women define health based on psychosocial factors first, their financial condition second and their physical wellness last. ?We used those findings to create IndexUS, the first comparative index of Black women?s health based on healthy Black women. The full report will be released in 2016, but here?s a snapshot of what we?ve uncovered.
